To help families, Saint Frances of Rome Parish gives a $1,000 tuition discount from the start. The tuition on the form has this parish assistance already applied. We recognize that some families will require further assistance to be able to give their child the best education by enrolling them in our school. When a family registers their child, they are asked to fill out financial information in FACTS. The FACTS management system helps us determine how much financial aid a family may need.
There is both before school and after school care available for your child. Before school care begins at 7am and after school care is available from 2:40pm until 6pm. Costs are as follows:
The required enrollment ages are as follows below. Your child's birthday must be on or before September 1st:
Saint Frances of Rome School has Preschool for All available; in short, your child may qualify for free half-day PreKindergarten (8am – 11am.). Families qualify based on financial need. To qualify, a family needs to be screened in a 60 minutes process (30 minutes for the parents, 30 minutes for the child) at the school. Families that qualify may also, with extra payment, keep their child in PreKindergarten the full day. For more information, contact the school office.
Call the office at 708-652-2277 ext. 103, if you are interested in registering your child for Preschool.
We do have a hot meals program. A hot lunch is available each day to students. There is a fee for this; however, some families may qualify for financial assistance with the hot meals program.
Update: For the 2021-2022 school year, the State of Illinois is providing free lunch to all studeents, including students attending a private school such as SFR.
Fundraising events are no longer a requirement for families. However, in order to provide the best education at an affordable price, we need the help of parents to raise funds for the school:
Yes, parents that would like to help as volunteers at school must complete all the necessary requirements. Click here to download the updated volunteer requirement page.
To have volunteer hours count towards PCP the volunteer must be compliant with the volunteer requirements implemented by the Archdiocese of Chicago.
